This photo shows an empty gondola, one of sixteen boroughs within Mexican Federal District. Today,the borough consists of eighteen neighborhoods along with fourteen villages that surround it. While the neighbhoods are somewhat in the geographic center of the Federal District, it is considered to be “south” and has an identity separate from the historic center of Mexico City.
